It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Agostino Settecase, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on September 5, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born on January 23, 1952, in the town of Termini Imerese, Sicily, Agostino’s life was shaped by hard work and devotion, beginning as a young boy helping his parents on the family farm. Those early years instilled in him the values of perseverance, loyalty, and family—principles that guided him throughout his life.
Agostino leaves behind his devoted wife, Adriana Settecase, who stood faithfully by his side through every challenge and triumph. Together they built a lifetime of memories, recently celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary—a milestone of love and commitment that will forever remain in her heart.
He was a proud and loving father to his children, Biagio, Marina, and Daniella. Each of them carries forward his legacy of love and family, deeply enriched by the Sicilian roots he wove into their lives—roots that will continue to guide and ground them for years to come. Agostino also held a deep affection for Biagio’s wife, Houry Settecase, whom he lovingly and proudly called his “Princess.”
As a grandfather, Agostino was a constant source of love and joy to his six cherished grandchildren—Ava, Isabelle, Makaila, Nikaila, Zavian, and Santino. His eyes would light up at the very mention of their names, and each one held a treasured place in his heart, filling his days with pride and happiness.
Agostino is also survived by his loving sister, Grazia Bova, and her husband, Pasquale, as well as his beloved brother, Peter Settecase, and his wife, Rose. Together they shared a strong and supportive family bond, nurturing one another through every season of life. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, who will carry forward the values and love he so generously shared.
Beyond his devotion to family, Agostino found peace and fulfillment in his love for hunting. The autumn season brought him great anticipation as he prepared for deer hunting, a tradition that connected him not only to nature but also to the friendships and bonds built with his hunting companions. For him, it was never just about the hunt—it was about the laughter, the camaraderie, and the memories created in the stillness of the woods.
As we gather to honor and remember Agostino Settecase, let us celebrate a life filled with hard work, laughter, and boundless love. In our memories, he will forever remain—a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose warmth and presence will never fade.
May he rest in peace.
If so desired donations can be made in memory of Agostino to the Canadian Cancer Society.
