Albert passed away peacefully, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply at the age of 90.
He was born on February 7, 1935 in the Town of Luzzi, Cosenza, Italy. Loving son to Antonio Altomare and Rosaria Altomare (nee Intieri).
He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Rosina (nee Agapito) and a loving father to his two children David (Maria) and Mary. Family was always at the center of his life and he found great joy in seeing it grow.
He was also a devoted grandfather to Albert, Lucas, Micaela, Elizabeth (Emal), Vanessa and Cassandra. He was also blessed in being a great grandfather to Aleah and Xavier. He followed his grandchildren’s lives with warmth, interest and care and treasured the time he spent with them.
Those who knew Albert will remember him for his strength, his presence, and his deep commitment to the people closest to him. He valued family loyalty, dependability and believed in being there when it mattered most. His influence lives on through the values he shared and the love he gave so freely.
His gardens were also his pride and joy, producing the best tomatoes, vegetables and figs and he was delighted in sharing their bounty. He also cherished the time he spent at the cottage swimming, fishing, eating great meals prepared by his wife and drinking a glass of homemade wine.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will remain a lasting part of his family’s lives. His contagious smile and joyful spirit will continue to light up any room when thinking of him.
His legacy lives on in the gardens he nurtured and in the hearts of those who loved him.
