Angelo Damiano

With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Angelo Damiano on July 28, 2026, at the age of 93.

Angelo shared a lifetime of love with his beloved wife, Francesca. Together they built a family that became the center of his world. He was a devoted father to Antonio and Maria (David), and a proud grandfather to Angela (Nick), Amedeo, and Luca. He also leaves behind his dear brother, Orazio (Giulia), along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him greatly.

To know Angelo was to know someone who found joy in caring for others. He had a remarkable gift for gardening, transforming every season into a beautiful display of colour and life. His homemade wine became a family tradition, lovingly crafted and generously shared around the dinner table, where stories, laughter, and togetherness were always plentiful.

Music was another of Angelo's great passions. Italian songs filled many family gatherings, and he especially enjoyed dancing, creating moments of happiness that reflected his warm spirit and love of life.

Above all else, Angelo's greatest pride was his family. Nothing brought him more happiness than having everyone together. Whether celebrating special occasions or enjoying an ordinary afternoon, he treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by those he loved. His gentle nature, generous heart, and quiet strength created a legacy that will continue through the generations he leaves behind.

Although his passing leaves a profound emptiness, his family takes comfort in the many wonderful memories they shared with him. His love, wisdom, traditions, and unwavering devotion will remain in their hearts forever.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst Street, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Tuesday August 4, 2026 from 12:00pm until the commencement of the service at 1:30pm. A private family entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
