In Loving Memory of Angelo Gallo
Angelo Gallo, born in Paterno, Calabro Italy on July 11, 1932, will be deeply missed by the many family members and friends whose lives he touched through his generosity, strength, and love of family.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lorita, with whom he built and shared a life in East York rooted in family, tradition, hard work, and love.
Angelo was a man of great determination, independence, and generosity. He lived life on his own terms and took pride in working hard throughout his life. He found joy in the simple but meaningful things: good food, good wine, music, laughter, and most of all, the company of family. He preferred being surrounded by others and was happiest sitting around a table filled with conversation, food, and the people he loved.
In his younger years and throughout his life, Angelo had a deep love of music. Whether listening to his favourite Italian songs on the radio or playing an instrument such as the mandolin, music brought him comfort and joy.
In his later years, he especially enjoyed hosting family barbecues, taking on projects that he believed would help others, and spending time with those closest to him. He loved visiting his favourite grocery stores, carefully choosing salami, prosciutto, and special foods to share with family members. Giving to others and seeing loved ones happy brought him great satisfaction.
Angelo treasured his large extended family and shared special relationships with many of his siblings, nieces, nephews, and their families. He held a particularly special place in his heart for treasured family members and deeply valued the time spent together with loved ones across generations. Family was always at the center of his life, and he cherished every opportunity to gather together.
He will be remembered for his generous heart, strong spirit, love of tradition, and unwavering devotion to family. His presence, stories, music, and warmth around the family table will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
