It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anna Narini, a beloved great grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her. Anna passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024 at the age of 90 years in Etobicoke. Her soul left her body in the presence of her son Phil and daughter Viviane Lecce.

Born in the picturesque hills of Italy, in the tiny hamlet of Broccostella, Frosinone, Anna brought the warmth of her homeland with her when she immigrated to Canada in 1956 with her loving husband Lidio. Throughout her life, she embodied the values of family, love, and resilience. Her wisdom was pervasive and her knowledge leagues beyond her education.

Anna is survived by her devoted son and his wife Heather Fenton Narini, and her loving daughter, and husband Antonio Lecce. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will forever live on in the hearts of her two grandchildren, Nicola with his wife Christina, and Massimo and his wife Lauren, and three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Giuliana and Hayden. As Hayden was born hours before Anna’s transition, she will forever be his guardian angel.

Though she may have left this earthly realm, Anna’s spirit will continue to guide and watch over her family from above. She has left a family of 7 siblings: Margherita (Late Guido Lecce), the Late Ulderico (Antonia), Rosa (Late Quirino Buccilli), Antonio (Angela), Gaetana (Late Vittorio Bruni), Rocco (Palmina) and Claudio (Rose).

Her home was always filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread, homemade pasta, and Phil’s favourite fettina, and the laughter of family gatherings. Anna’s kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith were a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

May she rest in peace, reunited with loved ones, and her husband, who went before her, and may her legacy of love and resilience live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
