In Loving Memory of Aurora Primero
December 3, 1935 – September 20, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Aurora (Lioanag) Primero, 90, of Toronto, Ontario, on September 20, 2026.
Born on December 3, 1935, in Manila, Philippines, to Carlos and Amelia Monteallegre, Aurora was raised by her loving grandparents, Francisca (Cavinta) and Alejandro Lioanag. She lived a life completely dedicated to her family and her faith. A determined and accomplished woman, she graduated from Arellano University with a law degree, all while actively participating on her law school’s volleyball team. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1978, she proudly built her new life here, working for over a decade at Branson Hospital (now part of North York General Hospital). Her family will fondly remember her feisty spirit, her generous heart, and her absolute devotion to those she loved.
Aurora lived a faithful life dedicated to God. She was a devoted member of the Mt. Zion Filipino Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she faithfully served as a Head Deaconess. She took great joy in fellowship, community outreach, and leadership, serving proudly as the president of the church’s seniors’ group, "The Golden Circle."
Aurora was predeceased by her grandsons, Brandon (son of Fernando), Andrew, and Matthew (sons of Jose); and her sisters, Loreto and Corazon.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband of 62 years, Oseas Primero; her children, Dulce (Kyle), Fernando (Debbie), Jose (Sheila), and Margie (Mark); and her cherished grandchildren, Christina, Daylin, Makayla, Gabriel, Sydney, Sophia, and Marcus. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of our beloved mother and grandmother (Lola)—a life rich with the love of her husband, children, precious grandchildren, extended family, and church community.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” - 2 Timothy 4:7
