Barbara Accettura

Barbara Accettura, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on November 11, 1931, in Bari, Italy, her loving nature and feisty personality will forever remain etched in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Jimmy and her son, Michael.

Barbara’s legacy will live on through her children, John (Sharon) and MaryAnn (Vince), her grandchildren, Brandon (Samantha), Tyler (Aimee), Julia (Sammy), and Peter James (Michaela), as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Sofia, Ethan, Ava, Owen, Avery & Kinsley. Each of them carried a piece of her heart, and she will be remembered as a source of unwavering love and support in their lives.

Barbara was known for her delicious lemon tarts that she made for those near and dear. Barbara enjoyed fine dining, especially her favourite Irish restaurant, McDonalds. Barbara was a baseball fan, proudly cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays. In a league of her own, she was ahead of her time playing shortstop as a young girl. In quieter moments, she could be found engrossed in her favourite TV shows, including "Young & the Restless" and "Judge Judy." She was always ready to share a laugh or a tear with those she loved.

The world is a little dimmer without Barbara, yet her light will continue to shine through the countless memories she created.
