Benjamin Cruz De Jesus, a beloved husband, father, loving son and friend, passed away on January 21, 2024. He was born on September 3, 1965. His warm and loving nature touched the lives of everyone he met. He is survived by his cherished wife, Cristina, beloved daughters, Christianne and Megan, dear mother, Irene, and siblings, Lerry and Jimmy.
The memories created with Benjamin will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those whose lives were touched by his presence. He is now resting in the Lord with his father, Felimon, and brother, Alfredo, until the blessed resurrection morning.
Benjamin was a simple man who found joy in the little things of life. He cherished his family deeply and always made them his top priority. One of his favorite activities was going for morning walks with his wife, Cristina. These meaningful moments allowed them to connect with each other and appreciate the beauty of God’s creation.
Known for his kind-heartedness and healthy sense of humour, Benjamin was adored by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He loved to bond and laugh with his loving family and good friends. Yet, his ultimate joy and fulfillment in life was deeply founded in his personal relationship with God.
Spirituality and Christian service were the topmost values in Benjamin’s life, as he was a faithful elder of God’s community at the First Filipino-Canadian Seventh-day Adventist Church in North York. He found solace and spiritual nourishment from his personal devotional time with God, family worships and sharing moments, and Bible study sessions in the church. His passion for God, devotion to family, and legacy of faith will always be remembered. Based on 2 Timothy 4:7-8, “Benjamin fought the good fight, finished the race, and have kept the faith. Now there awaits for him a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to him on that day – and not only to him, but also to all who have longed for the appearing of Jesus Christ.”
Visitation will be held at the First Filipino-Canadian Seventh-day Adventist Church (788 Sheppard Ave W, North York).
