Bianca La Torre

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Bianca La Torre, a deeply loved soul whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone fortunately enough to know her.

Born on March 26, 1939, in Fagnano Castello, Calabria, Italy. Bianca lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the timeless melodies of Italian music she so dearly loved. Above all else, she was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother and a loyal friend to many, known for her warmth, generosity, and nurturing spirit. She passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

Bianca found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of everyday life. She loved cooking and baking for her family, tending to her garden, and filling her home with warmth and care. These simple joys reflected her nurturing spirit, someone who found her greatest fulfillment in caring for others and creating beauty around her.

Her Catholic faith was central to her life and guided her with quiet strength and grace throughout the years.

Bianca will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lina, Louie, and Nadia (Joe), who carry forward the values she so generously shared. A proud Nonna to Alexandra and Stephanie (Michael), and Bisnonna to Sienna Claire, she embraced her role within her growing family with warmth and care. She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Renato, whose memory she held close to her heart.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Bianca’s life. Visitation will take place on April 30, 2026, at the Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre, 5826 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON, M2R 1Y6, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and again from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, offering time to share memories and support one another.

The Funeral Mass will be held on May 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Paschal Baylon Parish, 92 Steeles Ave. W., Toronto, ON, L4J 1A1. This service will celebrate Bianca’s life and enduring faith. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Lung Association.
