Cosimo Damiano Rubino

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Cosimo Damiano Rubino on September 7, 2026, just one month before his 98th birthday.

Cosimo Damiano was happily married to his first wife, Rosaria, until her passing in 2001. He was later blessed to find love again and is survived by his wife, Young Hee.

A devoted father, Cosimo will be lovingly remembered by his children, Raffaele (Mary Lou), Arcangela (John), Bruna (Jeff), and Mickey (Min).

He was a proud grandfather to Jessica (Daniel), Anthony (Melissa), Nicholas, Michael (Mila), Ryan (Vicky), Andrew (Alex), Sean (Vanessa), Joyah, and Joshua. His family continued to grow with the arrival of his cherished great-grandchildren, Stefan, Isabella, Giovanni, Sofia, Reece, Layla, and Amara.

Among the simple pleasures Cosimo enjoyed most was spending time in his garden. He took particular interest in his fig trees, vegetable garden, and flower garden. Tending to the plants and watching them grow brought him enjoyment throughout his life.

Over the course of nearly 98 years, Cosimo saw his family grow across generations. He leaves behind a family who will carry his memory forward and remember the many years they were fortunate to share with him.

Cosimo will be deeply missed by his family and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Tuesday September 15, 2026 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm & 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Wednesday September 16, 2026 at 11:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
