Donald Ross Turner

Donald passed peacefully on September 15, 2026, in his 94th year.

Donald has joined his beloved wife Margaret (predeceased October 21, 2025) on what would have been their 70th wedding anniversary. Survived by his children Brian (Solita), Beverly (Michael) and Keith (Olimpia), along with 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Donald enjoyed his morning coffee in his backyard garden that he nurtured and building his model railway since his retirement from CP Express.

His love of the outdoors, camping, canoeing, and hiking with his wife, family and friends have been inspirational to many throughout his years.

During his later years he focused on supporting his wife Margaret during her struggle with Parkinson’s; Team Turner were strong advocates for educating people on Parkinson’s disease.

The family extends gratitude to the PSW's and healthcare workers who were a vital part of his life over the past few years.

Cremation has already taken place. A private visitation will take place at the Westminster Funeral Home at 1pm on Tuesday September 29, 2026, followed a private family service at 2pm which will be live-streamed on the funeral home webpage.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Donald to Parkinson Canada or Seniors for Nature.
