Emralina Pangan Imperio
Emralina Pangan Imperio passed peacefully on April 17, 2023 at Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 87. She died of a weakened heart from cardiac arrest which occurred on Sunday April 16, 2023. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Elias Imperio, who passed in 2020, her mother Caridad Velasquez Pangan, her father Alejandro Pangan, her brother Rodelio Pangan, her sister Fermina Rohmer, her sister Esther Trinidad, her brother Marcelino Pangan, and sister Loida Pangan. Emralina is survived by her brother Pastor Abel V. Pangan, Danny V. Pangan, and Nervita P. Miner.
Emralina was known as Emy, mom & lola for those who loved her. She will be greatly missed by her 4 children and grandchildren, Glenn Imperio (son), Elias Jr. Imperio (son), Myrna Imperio (wife of Elias Jr.), Emily Imperio Louie (daughter), Todd Louie (husband of Emily), Elma Imperio Peralta (daughter), Max Peralta Almonte (husband of Elma), Glenna Lyn Imperio (granddaughter, daughter of Glenn Imperio), Myrelle Imperio (granddaughter, daughter of Elias Jr. Imperio), Candace Imperio (granddaughter, daughter of Elias Jr. Imperio), Pastor Sheldon Imperio (grandson, son of Elias Jr. Imperio), Beryl Casel Imperio (wife of Pastor Sheldon Imperio) Jeremy Louie (grandson, son of Emily Louie Imperio), Jordan Louie (grandson, son of Emily Imperio Louie), Adam Louie (grandson, son of Todd Louie) Brandon Imperio, (grandson, son of Elma Imperio Peralta), Max Luscius Peralta (grandson, son of Elma Imperio Peralta), & great grandchildren, O’Neill Malik Imperio Kistodial, Ezra Imperio, Eliana Imperio, Malcolm Mahamoud, Jasmine Louie, Anna Louie, Madeline Louie, Mateo Jorge Louie, Layla Louie, Mach Louie, Kayden Elias Imperio, Topaz Imperio, & Sapphire Imperio.
Emy was a graduate of Philippine Union College in 1960. She completed her Medical Secretary degree and worked at Manila Sanitarium Hospital as well as Branson Hospital until her early retirement at age 55.
She was a beloved member of the Bramalea Seventh-Day Adventist Church, even reciting her bible verses with clarity through her dementia on her last day of life, as a true testament to her faith and belief.
Emy will be remembered as a loving mom, who also made the best version of pancit (filipino well known dish), an amazing self-taught seamstress who never needed patterns to make any clothing from scratch, an accomplished pianist even playing through her dementia, very artistic, and a very kind & happy lola to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St.). After the long driveway, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Sunday, April 23, from 4-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westminster on Monday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum.
