Fermina De Luca

Fermina De Luca, beloved mother, Nonna and Bisnonna, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023, in Maple, Ontario. She was born on March 18, 1926, in Frosinone, Italy. May she be reunited with her beloved husband Angelo (of 70 years), daughter Eralda (Giovanni) and son Marcello. 
Fermina’s memory will be cherished by her daughter Lidia (Rodolfo), grandchildren Laura (Nick), Eddy (Connie), Mariacristina (Robert), Daniella (Mauro), Lina (Robert), Eraldo and Angela. Loving mother in law to Grace and Domenica.  Proud Bisnonna to her 15 great-grandchildren, always saying "Uno piú bello dell'altro". Her love will continue to live on through each one of them.

Fermina had a great sense of humor that would brighten even the darkest of days. She always had a witty remark or a funny anecdote ready to make everyone laugh. Her jokes brought joy and laughter to countless family gatherings and social events. With a light-hearted and joyful personality, she brought warmth and laughter to the lives of those around her. Her presence could light up any room and her contagious smile will forever be etched in our hearts.

In addition to her sense of humor, Fermina was known for her love of flowers. She had a green thumb that could transform any garden into a vibrant oasis. Her passion for gardening was evident in the array of colorful blooms that surrounded her home.
Cooking and baking were also among Fermina’s many talents. She delighted in preparing delicious meals and treats for her family and friends. Her kitchen was always filled with mouthwatering aromas, inviting all who entered to stay awhile.

Music and dancing held a special place in Fermina’s heart. She had an innate rhythm that would come alive as soon as the music started playing. Whether it was swaying gracefully across a dance floor or dancing around the kitchen while preparing meals, her love for music added rhythm and joy to every moment.

You could count on Fermina to give you a thumbs up and a wink when you asked her how she was doing, letting you know that everything was going to be alright.

Fermina De Luca leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and joy. Her light-hearted spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. May we carry her memory in our hearts as we continue to find joy in life's simple pleasures and celebrate every moment with laughter and love. Fermina's legacy will forever bloom in our hearts like the flowers she so adored.

To honour Fermina's life, visitation services will be held on December 13, 2023, from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre located at 5826 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON M2R 1Y6. A funeral service will follow on December 14, 2023, starting at 9:30 am at the same location. The entombment ceremony will take place at the Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum located at 5830 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON M2R 1Y6 from 10:15 am to 10:45 am.
