Francesca Ranieri (née Macario) June 26, 1948 – March 10, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Francesca Ranieri, who passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family—those she loved so dearly and who loved her in return. In her final days, she was able to share her wishes, her hopes for our future, and many beautiful moments with each of us—moments we will carry in our hearts forever.

Franca was born on June 26, 1948, in Sant’Alessio in Aspromonte, Reggio Calabria, Italy, to Pasqualino and Maria Macario (née Pietrolino).

Franca will forever remain a symbol of the strength a woman embodies—the weight she carries and the fortitude with which she meets life’s challenges. Her generous spirit, resilience, and determination with which she lived her life will forever leave a lasting impression on all who knew her, especially those closest to her.

Franca devoted her life to her family and to her passion for fashion. She worked as a fashion designer for many years and later built her own business, branding her creative designs under Priority Fashions. Through her work, Franca made a lasting impact on colleagues and within the local fashion community, helping to place Toronto on the map in the fashion world. Her designs were worn by many local and international celebrities and public figures, a testament to her creativity and vision.

Above all, Franca cherished her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted spouse Pasquale Ranieri, her children Vincenzo Ranieri (Adina Goldfarb), Alessio Ranieri (Talia Khanania), and her beloved grandchildren Benjamin Joseph, Aviana Hannah, Jacob Léone, Victoria, and Adrianna. She is also survived by her sister Concetta Macario, brother Enzo Macario and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Those who knew Franca will remember her generosity, her bold nature, for her love of cooking, and her unwavering willingness to help others whenever she could. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, determination, and a powerful will to live with purpose—qualities that will continue to live on through those who loved her.

Funeral arrangements have been made and will take place at Westminster Funeral and Reception Centre on Monday, March 16, 2026.
