Franco Marcoccia, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario. Born on February 19, 1947, in Veroli, Frosinone, Italy, he embarked on a journey that would see him become an integral part of the community not only in his adopted country but also in the hearts of those who knew him.
Franco dedicated many years of his life to the construction industry, spending significant time at the unional hall Loco 506. His work was more than just a job; it was a representation of his commitment to craftsmanship, hard work, and the value of community.
In addition to his professional contributions, Franco was a man of many passions Franco’s green thumb shone in his love for growing olive trees, nurtured with care and attention, reflecting his deep-rooted connection to his Italian heritage. He often spoke of his dream to build a home in Parry Sound, Ontario, envisioning a place where his family could gather and create lasting memories.
Franco's loving wife, Anna, was his steadfast partner through the journey of life, providing unwavering support and companionship. He was the father of late son Maurizio (Elena) and daughter Cristina. As a grandfather, Franco cherished every moment with his cherished grandchildren, Jessica and Stephanie, delighting in their achievements and dreams. The joy in his heart only grew with the arrival of his great-grandchild, Massimo, who brought a new light to his life.
Franco is now reunited in heaven with his beloved parents, Giuseppe and Lidia, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those he leaves behind, a testament to a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to family.
Franco Marcoccia’s spirit will live on through the stories shared, the hobbies enjoyed, and the love imparted to his family and friends—an enduring legacy of a remarkable man.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Sunday July 6, 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Monday July 7, 2025 at 11:30am. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
