Gaetana Nina Romualdi

Gaetana Nina Romualdi, born on September 16, 1946, in the picturesque town of Pietrapertosa, Potenza, Italy, to proud parents, Vito & Carmela Renna, has passed away peacefully in Toronto, Ontario, on May 10, 2025. She was a beacon of warmth and love in the lives of all who knew her, embodying a spirit that was as vibrant as it was nurturing.

Nina was a woman of unwavering affection, whose kindness and humor enchanted everyone around her. Her capacity for laughter brought joy to family gatherings, where she often delighted her loved ones with delicious home-cooked meals, each dish served with a side of love that warmed their hearts. Her passion for cooking, as well as sewing, was matched only by her devotion to her family, as she cherished spending time with them, particularly her beloved grandchildren, Alyssa (Michael), Amanda, Nicole (Anthony), Alessandro, Melissa (Gianluca), Nicholas, Christina, Philippe & Emilie, and her great-grandchildren, Gia & Teo. They were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into every moment she shared with them.

In addition to being a loving wife to her beloved husband Pietro Nicola, Nina was a proud mother to her children Gino (Daniela), Carmine (Susan) & Anna (Jean). A cherished sister to her brother Federico (Luciana) & her late sister Lucia (Antonio). Her caring nature extended beyond her family, reaching out to friends and neighbours, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

As we gather to remember Nina's remarkable life, we invite those who knew and loved her to join us for the visitation at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre, located at 5826 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON, M2R 1Y6, on May 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will take place on May 16, 2025 at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church (811 Lawrence Ave. West, Toronto, ON) commencing at 9:30 AM. Nina will then be laid to rest during the interment at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum (5830 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON) at 11:00 AM.

While Nina has departed from this world, her spirit will forever remain alive in the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she cultivated. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all of us to cherish our families and embrace life with joy and compassion. She will be deeply missed, but her essence will always linger in the hearts of those she touched.
