Giovanni Torchia

It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the peaceful passing of Giovanni Torchia on January 9^th, 2024, at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital at the age of 84. Beloved husband of 58 years to Ida (nee Petrungaro). Loving father of Maurizio (Lori Ann), Tiziano (Sharon), and Peter (Barbara). Proud Nonno of Natalie (Giancarlo), Jonathan (Vanessa), Madeleine, Katherine, Olivia and Alessia. Dear brother to Rosina (Remo), pre-deceased by Fiora, Rosario, Adolfo, Francesco, and Carmine. Giovanni will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his many extended family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), the first building on your left located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Monday, January 15th, 2024, from 4 to 8pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Tuesday, January 16th at 10:30am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum.
