Giulio Paglia

August 2, 1934 — December 14, 2023

Giulio Paglia, a beloved husband, father, nonno, great nonno, brother, uncle, and great uncle, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on December 14th, 2023, at the age of 89. Born in Colli, Frosinone, Italy, on August 2nd, 1934, to parents Raffaelo and Santa. Giulio lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for all that surrounded him. He is now reunited and together forever with his beloved wife Rose.

Loving father and father in law of Barbara and David Duclos, Sara and Michael Healy, Sam and Michelle Paglia. Proud Nonno of Alysha and Gidon, Jessica, Michelle, Catherine, Julia, Emma, Daniel, Justin, Kendra and dear great Nonno to Avital, Chana, Dina, Yaakov, Yisroel, Evan and Amy.
Dear brother and brother in law of Umberto and Antonietta Paglia, Ilmar Paglia, Nanina Paglia, Victor and Sharon Moncarz, Jill and the late Szaer Moncarz. He is now joined in heaven with his parents Raffaelo and Santa Paglia, and brothers Pietro and wife Natalina, Antonio, Giovanni, sister Angelina and her husband Filipo. Giulio will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his family, his many nieces and nephews, friends, neighbours and all who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.

Giulio will be remembered as a gentle and honest man, whose love and affection was shown through his precise and dedicated actions and tireless work ethics that inspired all that knew him. His unwavering love for his family was felt when his face lit up with joy in their presence. A life of hard work, and a long lasting life to see 3 generations of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Giulio's devotion to his family was truly remarkable; he was their rock and source of strength, and our Padrone.

A man who knew one simple thing: that life is work and you must work hard every day to contribute to this world, his skilled hands would repair and create magic that carried a piece of Giulio’s soul, from his woodworking to his garden to being our repair handyman. Giulio developed a passion for gardening and could transform even the smallest plot of land into a vegetable garden and a vine archway for the grandchildren to run through. Giulio nurtured not only plants but the hearts and souls around him.
Giulio will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence brought comfort and happiness to those around him, whether it was lending a helping hand or offering advice and guidance, he always made time for others and his departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all of us.
The memories we shared with Giulio will forever remain etched in our hearts. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind – one of resilience, dedication, kindness and immense love. Giulio, may your soul find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the memories we were fortunate enough to create with you.

Rest in peace, dear Giulio. You will be forever cherished and never forgotten.
