Giuseppe Greto

With profound sadness, yet with deep gratitude for a life well lived, the family announces the passing of Giuseppe Greto on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the age of 93.

Giuseppe leaves behind the love of his life, Caterina, whose partnership and devotion were the foundation of a beautiful family. Together they built a home filled with love, hard work, laughter, and enduring values that will continue through future generations.

He was the proud father of Antonietta (Joe), Domenico, Silvio (Sandra), and Ida (Cosimo). Nothing brought Giuseppe greater happiness than seeing his family together. He treasured every family gathering and took immense pride in each of his grandchildren—Michelle (Eric), Joe (Montana), Stefan, Evan, Victoria (Cameron), Madyson, Jordan, Nicholas, and Avery—who each held a special place in his heart. He was also blessed to become a great-grandfather to Benjamin, Brandon, Capri, and Venezia, whose smiles and laughter brought him immeasurable joy.

Giuseppe is now reunited in Heaven with his parents, Domenico and Caterina, along with his dearly departed sister, Rosa (Late Vito) and his many in-laws. He will be deeply missed by his sisters he leaves behind; Teresina (Vincenzo), and Immacolata (Late Vincenzo) as well as his sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews, along with family and friends. Giuseppe found fulfillment in life's simple pleasures. He had a lifelong passion for vegetable gardening and took great pride in growing food with his own hands. He enjoyed construction work and always appreciated the satisfaction of building and fixing things. His love for animals was evident through the many dogs, cats, pigeons, and rabbits he cared for over the years. Whether working outdoors, tending his garden, or spending time with family, Giuseppe found happiness in everyday moments.

Those who knew Giuseppe will remember him as a hardworking, dependable, and humble man whose quiet strength spoke louder than words. He believed in providing for his family, helping others whenever he could, and living a life rooted in honesty and perseverance. His wisdom, gentle nature, and unwavering love for those closest to him will remain a lasting legacy.Although his passing leaves a tremendous void, the memories he created and the values he instilled will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.The family sincerely thanks everyone who has offered comfort, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Your kindness has been deeply appreciated.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre, with visitation and service details to be announced.

May Giuseppe rest in eternal peace, reunited with all those who have gone before him. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

If so desired donations can be made in memory of Giuseppe to the Alzheimer's Society.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Monday July 27, 2026 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 5:00pm-8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Tuesday July 28, 2026 at 11:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
