Giuseppe (Joseph) Porco

May 8, 1941 — November 19, 2025

Giuseppe (Joseph) Porco, a cherished soul whose presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew him, passed away on November 19, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Born on May 8, 1941, in Malito, Calabria, Italy, Joseph lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for family and the world around him.

Joseph shared a devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Irma, for 55 amazing years. They loved going ballroom dancing, travelling, and spending simple moments together and among family. Joseph was a proud and loving father to Belinda and Carla (Dan), as well as an adoring Nonno to Emma, Andre, Alexandra, and Nicholas, whose laughter brought him immense joy.

A man of wide-ranging interests, Joseph approached life with curiosity and an adventurous spirit. He enjoyed opera, loved to read and, most of all, was a family man through and through.

Joseph’s family roots ran deep. He is survived by his siblings Maria (Tony) and Frank (Rita). He is predeceased by his sisters Ida (Mario) and Rose (Joe). Joseph now reunites with his parents, Vincenzo and Angelina, as well as his dear siblings, aunts, uncles, and nephews, who welcome him into their heavenly embrace.

As we gather to honour Joseph’s life, we take comfort in knowing that he will be remembered by the many friends and family whose lives he touched with his kindness, humour, and unwavering love. His stories, wisdom, and gentle presence will live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known him.

A special thank you to his doctors as well as staff at North York General Hospital and Baycrest Hospital.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Giuseppe (Joseph) Porco to the Princess Margaret Hospital, Canadian Cancer, Sick Kids, North York General Hospital, Baycrest Hospital.
