March 31, 1940 – July 7, 2024

 It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Iside Di Tata (nee Martino) on July 7, 2024 at the age of 84. She was born in Bagnoli del Trigno, Molise, Italy and passed away after a short stay at Providence Healthcare. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Nella (Norman), son, Domenico (Sylvia), brother, Nicola (Ada), loving granddaughters, Jessica, and Cristina (Michael), and step-grandchildren Connie, Daniella (Carmine), Francesco and Francesca. Iside is reunited with her husband, Annibale, and with her parents, Antonio and Maria. 

Iside was energetic, dedicated, loving, and resilient. She immigrated to Canada in 1956. She often recounted stories of her youth in Italy and travels taken. She loved fashion, dancing, cooking and baking, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, going to the beach, taking long walks by the lake, and spending time with loved ones. 

Iside will be held dear in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral and Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery. The family welcomes you to celebrate her life and share memories on Friday, July 19th, 2024, from 9:30 am until the commencement of the Funeral Service at 11:00 am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Iside may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
