Luigi Arabia

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luigi Arabia, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who left us peacefully on April 2, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born in Paterno Calabro on February 1,1935 to Francesco and Giuseppina Arabia. Luigi lived a life dedicated to hard work and caring for his family, leaving a meaningful legacy.

He is survived by his children, Francesco (Anna) and Carmine (Eleanor), who carry forward his spirit of strength and love. His three granddaughters, Rachel, Katherine, and Rebecca were particularly blessed to have him in their lives, and they will forever treasure the lessons he imparted and the joy he brought. Luigi has been reunited with his beloved wife, Maria. He is also remembered by his dear brothers, Salvatore and Mario, with whom he shared countless moments of laughter and brotherhood.

Luigi was a skilled craftsman who had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He found joy in the simple pleasures of making wine, crafting delicious sausages, and nurturing his vegetable garden. His hobbies reflected his desire to provide for his family and his love for sharing the fruits of his labor with his loved ones. Whether it was a family gathering or a day spent with friends, Luigi’s warmth and generosity were always front and center.

As we gather to honor and remember Luigi, we reflect on his kind spirit and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. His unwavering love and zest for life will continue to inspire us every day. Luigi Arabia will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Sunday April 6, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm & 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Monday April 7, 2025 at 12:00pm. A private family entombment will occur at Westminster Cemetery.
