It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Luisa Ricciuto (nee D’Addario), in the early hours on August 15th, 2026, at the age of 86. Luisa passed peacefully on the Feast Day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This was very significant to her family, as Luisa’s Mother Mary prayer book and rosary were never far from her side and she prayed to Her daily. Her dedication to her faith was abundant and never-wavering. Luisa lived every day of her life striving always to be honest and kind to everyone.
Beloved wife of Vincenzo, cherished mother of Enza (Raffaele) and Josephine (Lino) and loving and proud Nonna to Aeric, Giusten and Matthew. Luisa was born on July 9, 1940 in Limosano, Campobasso, Italy. At the young age of 20, she immigrated to Canada with her 21 year old husband Vincenzo, where they began their new life together. She worked as a sewing machine operator for over 20 years, where she demonstrated her passion and incredible talent for sewing. Luisa built a life and a home filled with love for her family and her door and heart were always open for her many friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Villa Colombo Kleinburg, for the love and support Luisa received, especially from the amazing staff at Casa Ciccolini and the Social Committee. The family would also like to thank Dr. Anthony Lang and his team at the Movement Disorders Clinic (Toronto Western Hospital) for their patience, care and outstanding support over the past 23 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Movement Disorders Clinic at UHN Foundation (Please visit: UHN Foundation or call (416- 603-5300).
