With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Maria Rosina Capone, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world on June 25, 2025. Born on July 5, 1943, Maria—affectionately known to many as Rosetta—lived each day with warmth and love, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the honor to know her.
Reunited in heaven just eleven days after her beloved husband, Gaetano Capone, Maria now rests peacefully alongside her soulmate. The number eleven—often known as the angel’s number—feels especially fitting, marking their spiritual connection and guiding light, even beyond this life. Their bond was deep and enduring, and now, together again, they continue their journey in peace.
Her days were filled with laughter and joy, often echoing within the walls of her home, where she nurtured not only her garden but the hearts of her family with steady, unwavering devotion.
Maria found immense joy in music, her soul stirring to its rhythms as she cared for her vibrant flower and vegetable gardens. Gifted with a gentle touch, she brought life to even the smallest seed, watching it grow and flourish under her care. Cooking and baking were more than hobbies—they were acts of love that filled her home with comforting aromas and brought her family together for unforgettable meals.
Maria adored children and had a special tenderness for babies. Her gentle nature and warm spirit made her a magnet for little ones, whose laughter and innocence brought her endless happiness. Her grandchildren were her greatest pride, and she cherished every moment spent with them—playing, teaching, and showering them with love they will carry forever.
Her eye for beauty extended into her love for fashion and her signature hats, which she wore with elegance and flair. A gifted seamstress, Maria had the rare ability to create something beautiful from a simple piece of fabric. She sewed dresses for her daughters and special garments that reflected her creativity, care, and affection. Her talent was more than skill—it was an expression of love stitched into every piece.
Maria is survived by her devoted children: Sandra (Mario), Kelly (Rudy), Nick (Margaret), Julie (Volodymyr), and Susanne (Steven). Her love lives on through her grandchildren: David (Joanna), Michael, Stephanie (Daniel), Matthew (Macy), and Danylo, who will continue to carry her spirit forward in their lives.
Maria's life was marked by quiet strength and deep resilience. She faced many medical hardships and endured countless surgeries over the years, but through it all, she carried an enduring love for her family and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. Her strength didn’t always come with ease—but it came from love, and from the fierce determination to be present for the ones who needed her.
In the tapestry of her life, Maria wove kindness, joy, and love into every thread. Her legacy will forever warm our hearts and inspire our souls. Her presence remains with us—a gentle whisper of love in the laughter of her family, the fragrance of her flowers, and the memories sewn into every cherished moment.
