Maria Santedicola, a beacon of love and joy, passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on August 8, 1942, she embraced life with an infectious spirit and a heart full of compassion. Maria’s warm laughter and kind soul touched everyone blessed to know her.
As a devoted wife to her beloved, Fernando, Maria built a life rich with love and cherished memories. She was a nurturing mother to Susie (John) and Ercole (Sandra), always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Noah and Lexi, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
Maria's personality shone through in everything she did. She was fun-loving and caring, always brightening the lives of those around her. Whether she was cooking her famous dishes, baking delectable treats, or planning boat cruises with family, her enthusiasm for travel and culinary adventures was contagious. Every gathering was an occasion for celebration, filled with laughter, delicious food, and heartfelt connections.
Maria was also the cherished sister to Pietro (Anna) and Salvatore (Yasmin- pre-deceased). She held fond memories of her late brother Antonio (Cristina), who will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Her indomitable spirit will be remembered by her family and friends during the visitation on July 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre, located at 5826 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON. The funeral service, celebrating her remarkable life, will be held on July 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location, followed by a heartfelt interment at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum at 10:45 AM.
As we honour Maria’s life, we are reminded of the love she freely gave and the warmth she spread—a true gift to all who knew her. Her loving memory will continue to inspire those she leaves behind, as they carry forward her legacy of kindness and joy.
