Mario Cusano, a devoted husband, father and Scrap Metal Recycler. He passed awayon April 6, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on February 4, 1968, Mario lived a life filled with love, generosity, and knowledge of History that touched the lives of all who knew him.
Mario was the son of Lucia and the late Antonio, whose love paved the way for hisvibrant life. At the age of 15 he left school to follow his true Passion, SCRAP!!! For Mario, Scrap was an Art. He had the eye which was taught to him by his father Antonio.
Above all, Mario was a loving and caring husband to his wife of 28 years, Rosa. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter and warmth. They were partners in every sense—supporting each other through life's challenges and celebrating each triumph together. Their bond was unbreakable, and his absence will be felt deeply by Rosa.
As a father, Mario adored his children, Antonio and Lucia. His love for them was evident in every moment they shared, whether it was playing cards in the evenings, engaging in spirited discussions about Toronto Maple Leaf trivia, or enjoying a quick cigarette in mornings in his underwear while drinking na bella Espress’
Mario cherished his siblings, His sister “Jane” who was like a mother to him (Mike) and his late brother Elio, He also had strong ties to his Brother in-laws and his sister in-law Joe, Dinna, Paul and his wonderful mother in-law Teresa. His nieces and nephews—Teresa (Frank), Ralph who were like his little sister and brother. Domenico, Adriana, and late Adriana.
Mario's good heart and generous spirit were apparent to everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He was known for extending a hand to those in need and embracing all with open arms. His loving nature created an environment where friends felt like family, and he will be missed by each person whose life he touched.
As we remember Mario Cusano, we celebrate the life of a gentle soul who lived fully, loved dearly, and brought light to all around him
Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Friday April 11, 2025 at 9:15am until the commencement of the service at 11:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
