Mario Pontiero
July 29, 1932 — April 9, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mario Pontiero, April 9, 2025 at the age of 92.
Mario's family embraces: Maria (wife), Maria (sister), Bruno (brother), Walter (son - died 2024), Elide (daughter), Marina (daughter), Daniel (son - died 1991), Rosa and Joanne (stepdaughters) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mario was born in Italy and emigrated to Canada in 1962. He built a new life for his wife Margherita and his children. Canada was good to Mario: he started as a carpenter and built a business.
In his later life and free time he took pride in his garden and beautiful fig trees.Mario’s hard work and devotion will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Mario Pontiero to The Kidney foundation of Canada or The Canadian Cancer Society of Canada.
