Mario Vitale

After recently celebrating his 90th birthday, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mario Vitale on November 3, 2026.

Mario was born on September 20, 1936, in San Vincenzo Ferreri, Lazio. As a teenager, he arrived in Canada to begin a new life with his family. That journey became an important part of his story and the life he went on to create that was shaped by family, hard work, and the simple joys that meant so much to him.

Mario will be remembered as a man with a great sense of humour and a deep love for the people around him. He loved spending time with his wife, family, and the moments he shared with his nieces and nephews were especially meaningful to him. He had a love for cars, playing bocce, swimming at the local community center, making wine and drinking the fruits of his labour. These were some of the pleasures that brought him happiness and that those who knew him will fondly remember.

Beloved husband to his devoted wife, Maria. He shared a beautiful life with her filled with love, laughter and many memories. Mario will be missed by his sister Maria(Ferruccio), and his many nieces and nephews. He is now reunited in heaven with his parents, Anna and Vincenzo, sister Nancy(Domenic) and his brother Domenic.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of his family and friends.
