Marlon “Alon” Suarez
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother, Marlon Suarez, on Wednesday, December 14,2022 at the age of 49.
Marlon was born November 25, 1973 in Lipa City Batangas to Florencio and Elsa Suarez and a loving brother to his siblings (Menchie, Maggie, Jerome & Raisa), wife (Edlyn) and children (Jaztinne, Nazleen, Pierre, Piethro & Phernella).
In 1996, Marlon graduated from Cebu State University with the degree of Marine Transportation . Few years after, he joined Philippine National Police and served for 20 years.
Just before he came to Canada in 2018 his kidney failed and started dialysis. A year after he arrived in Canada, he resumed dialysis 3x a week at Humber Dialysis Center. He was doing doing so well with his treatment, was on the waiting list for kidney transplant for almost 3 years.
Marlon was loved by many. He gained lots of friends from work and from random acquaintances. He had great sense of humour, had good taste of music, was a great cook, was fond of learning particularly geography and history. Hence, he was enrolled in an online program in college.
Marlon died due to cardiac arrest while undergoing his regular dialysis on Wednesday morning.
His family is in deep pain and sorrow. But are happy knowing that he is in a better place now. Let us all pray for his eternal peace.
