Mary Nemeth

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mary Nemeth (nee Varga). May she be reunited in heaven with her husband Andrew Sr. Devoted mother to Andrew Jr. (Patricia). Beloved grandmother to Vanessa (Joshua) and Paige (Michael). Cherished great-grandmother to Adrianna and Alexander. She will be greatly missed by many extended family members and friends. Born and raised in Balatonlelle, Hungary, Mary helped her family escape the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 and fled to Austria. From there, the family sought refugee status in England before finally settling in Canada in 1963. Mary always presented herself with such grace and elegance and took great pride in how she was put together. She had a passion for dancing and working out and rarely missed her step class at Premier gym located in Yorkdale mall. She loved and supported her family fiercely and unwaveringly. She made sure she got the most out of life and the memories she created are truly unforgettable. The number of people she touched is indescribable. She made it her mission to show others that they were loved by showering them with care and compassion. A true angel on earth.

Visitation will be at the Westminster Cemetery and Mausoleum, 5826 Bathurst St., Toronto, Ontario on Wednesday, February 28th from 10-11am at the Westminster Chapel. The funeral service will follow immediately after at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Ontario may be made.
