It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mike Cappuccio on April 26, 2025.
Born on July 1st, 1965, in Carpi Italy, to his beloved parents Maria and Gerardo Cappuccio, Mike moved to Canada with his family at the young age of 2.
Mike was the cherished middle brother of Mauro and Frank. From a young age, his brilliant mind and kind spirit made an impression on everyone who knew him. He was a gifted mathematician—a true genius whose intellect was matched only by his humility and warmth.
Mike shared a close bond with his brothers Mauro (Marina) and Frank (Hena), relationships that remained full of love, laughter, and support throughout his life.
He was a devoted and proud uncle, a role that brought him immense joy and purpose. His love for Kristin, Aaron, Julian, and Jenna was profound, unconditional, and enduring. He celebrated their every milestone and supported them with a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on each of their lives. To them, he was more than an uncle, he was a guiding light, a steady presence, and a deeply trusted source of encouragement, and wisdom. Mike also shared a deeply meaningful bond with Cody, who held a unique and significant place in his heart. To Cody, Mike was not only a guiding presence but a true role model.
One of Mike’s greatest passions was tennis. His love for the sport took him across the world, playing in beautiful places like Nice, Serbia, Slovenia, Florida, and beyond. Wherever he went, he carried with him a sense of joy, curiosity, and determination that left a mark on those around him.
Outside of his love for the court, Mike found joy in the simple pleasures: savoring a good cup of coffee, and spending quiet moments with a book in hand. He also had a love for sports cars, often admiring their design and performance with the same precision and enthusiasm he brought to everything he loved.
Mike is now reunited in Heaven with his loving parents, Maria and Gerardo, a comforting thought to all who mourn him. His legacy of love, brilliance, and gentle kindness lives on in the hearts of his family and all who had the blessing of knowing him.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
