It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michele (Mike) Iemma, a beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cherished friend. Born on September 30, 1949, in Gallo Matese, Caserta, Italy, Mike embodied the spirit of hard work, joy, and unwavering devotion to family throughout his life. He passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be treasured.

After immigrating to Canada, Mike firmly established his roots and built a life grounded in love, laughter, and dedication. He spent many years as a skilled welder specializing in plumbing and heating, earning respect for both his craftsmanship and his dependable nature. His work ethic was matched only by his vibrant personality—he was known for his quick humor, warm smile, and the effortless way he brought joy to those around him.

Mike had a deep love for vegetable gardening, especially nurturing his prized tomatoes. His garden was a place of peace and pride, and the fruits of his labor were shared generously with family and friends who delighted in both the harvest and the stories that came with it. Music, too, was a constant in Mike’s life; he loved to sing, filling every gathering with warmth and laughter.

A devoted family man, Mike shared thirty-five wonderful years with his beloved wife, Mary. Together, they created a home filled with love, compassion, and countless cherished memories. He embraced his role as a stepfather to Rocco (Sonia) and Josie (Shane), offering guidance, love, and steadfast support. He took immense pride in his grandchild, Sammy, finding joy in every milestone and moment they shared.

Mike will be deeply missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who were touched by his kindness, generosity, and bright spirit. Though his absence leaves a profound void, those who knew him take comfort in knowing he has been reunited in heaven with his beloved parents, Giovanni and Maria, Sisters Caterina, Angela and Brother Pasquale.

Michele (Mike) Iemma will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those he leaves behind. His legacy of love, laughter, and connection will continue to guide and inspire us in the days to come.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Michele (Mike) Iemma to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Sunday November 30, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm & 5:00 pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel on Monday December 1, 2025 at 11:30 am. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
