Mihai Eugen Alecu

We announce the passing of Mihai Eugen Alecu, who passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 52. Born on March 11, 1973, Mihai will be remembered with affection by those who knew him.

Mihai had a deep appreciation for classic cars, particularly Mercedes, he enjoyed the quiet challenge and strategy of playing chess, and he enjoyed building and fixing things and took pride in work done well.These interests reflected his thoughtful nature, patience, and attention to detail.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Luiza ; his daughters mother, Mihaela; his sibling, Marius (Viorica); his father Nicolae Alecu; and extended family and friends. He was also dearly loved by the family cat, Finch, a constant and comforting companion.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Westminster Cemetery, 5826 Bathurst Street. Burial will follow.
