Nehemias Dela Cueva Elevazo

August 10, 1945 — May 14, 2025

Nehemias Dela Cueva Elevazo, born on August 10, 1945, slipped peacefully from this world on May 14, 2025 and now rests until the call of Jesus on resurrection morning. He leaves behind a legacy rich with love and cherished memories that will forever stay woven into the hearts of those who knew him.

Nehemias was a humble, soft-spoken man whose kindness radiated warmth to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. He exemplified generosity and patience, qualities that endeared him to his family and friends alike. A true craftsman at heart, he loved working with his hands, whether it was woodworking, fishing, or tending to his beloved garden. These hobbies brought him joy and fulfillment, reflecting an appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He spent time absorbed in the game of chess with his children and grandchildren teaching them his approach to life through patience, thoughtfulness and contemplation.

Above all, Nehemias found immense happiness in spending quality time with his loved ones. He understood the true essence of family, cherishing every moment with them and sharing laughter, stories, and love. Nehemias is survived by Astrid, the mother of his children, his children Gil (Irene) and Jonn Aldwin (Sarah), and his treasured grandchildren: Timothy, Joshua, Jordana, Genevieve, Rachel, Samuel, and Jonah. Each of them holds cherished memories of their time with him—moments filled with lessons, laughter, and love.

Nehemias is also remembered by his siblings: Rebecca, Gideon, Norma and the late Aurelia and Calixto Jr. Together, they shared bonds that transcended mere blood ties, creating memories that will echo through the ages.

His life will be celebrated with deep respect and admiration during the visitation at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre in Toronto on May 22, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share their warmest memories. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the same location on May 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, culminating in a burial ceremony at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum at 11:30 AM.

Though Nehemias has departed from this earthly realm, his memory remains etched in the lives he touched and in the hearts of those who will forever carry him in their hearts. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we celebrate his rich life—a life spent loving fiercely and living humbly. Nehemias Dela Cueva Elevazo will be dearly missed, but his legacy lives on in the love, laughter, and memories he so generously shared.
