Nella D'Alesio D'Addamio

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nella D’Alesio D’Addamio on September 24, 2025, at the age of 92. Nella passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones, and lived life to its fullest up until her very last day.

Born on January 31, 1933, in the small town of Palmoli in Abruzzo, Italy, Nella is predeceased by her beloved husband, Tiberio, and by her devoted parents, Angelina and Giuseppe. She will be forever loved and remembered by her children Beatrice (Rob), Valentino, and Sabrina. She was the proud Nonna of six beautiful grandchildren: Jessica, Stefanie, Christian, Julian, Sofie, and Gabriel. Nella is also survived by her cherished sisters, Brunilde and Fernanda.

Nella brought great light into this world. She shared her love freely with everyone she met—encouraging, uplifting, and giving selflessly. Her life was one of joy, devotion, and resilience. She raised her son Valentino, who has Down Syndrome, with boundless strength and unconditional love. She embraced each day as a blessing, finding joy in cooking, gardening, music, dance, family gatherings, festivals, meeting new people, and bringing happiness to others. Her radiant spirit lit every room she entered and uplifted all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A woman of extraordinary talent, Nella was a master seamstress whose skill and artistry shone through her bridal gowns, evening wear, and intricate hand beading. She was also a partner in a successful pasta-making business, where her hard work and passion shone through every day.

At the heart of everything Nella did was her unshakable faith. A devoted child of God, she lived with Christ at the center of her life. She served others with love and humility, living her faith with grace and compassion.

Her presence was truly a gift. Nella’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and faith will live forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those blessed to have been touched by her light.

Nella will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Tuesday September 30, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel on Wednesday October 1, 2025 at 11:30 am. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
