Nella Ignoto

Nella Ignoto, a beloved mother and Nonna, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on April 10, 1945, in the picturesque town of Cerisano, Cosenza, Italy, to the late Maria & Giuseppe Totera. Nella is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Giovanni.

Loving mother to Luigi, Giuseppe (Gina), and Erminia (Vittorio). Proud Nonna to Victoria, Giovanni, Yosuf, Sana, Gabriella, Samantha and Christian who were often treated to her delicious home-cooked meals.

Nella's religious faith played an essential role in her life, guiding her actions and giving her strength. Her belief in God was a source of comfort for her and for those around her, encouraging others to see the beauty in kindness and generosity.

As one of ten siblings, Nella was part of a large and loving family, a heritage that shaped her identity and fostered lifelong connections. Though she has now joined her brothers and sisters in Heaven, her legacy of love and faith will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family.  Nella will be fondly remembered by her many family members and friends.

A visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre, located at 5826 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON, on May 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Nella's Funeral Mass service will take place on May 23, 2025, at St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, located at 2747 Jane St, Toronto, ON, at 9:30 AM, followed by the entombment at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St.)
