In loving memory of Nicola Romualdi, a gentle craftsman whose life was a testament to the values of hard work, love, and unwavering kindness. Born on June 29, 1937, in the town of Pietrapertosa, Potenza, Italy, to proud parents, Luigi and Maria Romualdi, has passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, and is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Gaetana.
His journey through life was one punctuated by both the beauty of creation and the warmth of family. Loving father to Gino (Daniela), Carmine (Susan), and Anna (Jean), who carry forward his spirit with every beat of their hearts. Nicola was blessed with grandchildren—Alyssa (Michael), Amanda (Nicholas), Nicole (Anthony), Alessandro, Melissa (Gianluca), Nicholas, Christina, Philippe, and Emilie—each of whom was a source of immense pride and joy, illuminating his life with their laughter and charm. He was also a great-grandfather to sweet Gia and Teo, whose innocent laughter he cherished deeply.
Nicola is also remembered fondly by his beloved sisters, Rachele, Franca, Antonietta, and Rita, whose bonds of love were as strong as the wood he shaped. Together they shared countless memories, intertwined by the love that only siblings can know. His kindness extended beyond blood relations, enveloping those fortunate enough to cross his path, including his devoted caregiver, Rosalina, who provided companionship with grace and compassion.
He was a man who kept himself busy, always active in both work and play—throwing himself heart and soul into everything he touched. Known for his loving demeanor, he approached life with an open heart, ready to share joy and laughter.
He found delight in the simple pleasures of life, engaging in spirited games of Italian cards that often rang with the joyful sounds of friendly banter. His green thumb brought forth bountiful vegetable gardens, which flourished under his nurturing hands, while the grapes transformed into exquisite homemade wine served as tokens of his love for family and friends alike.
In memory of Nicola, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto. www.alz.to
