Noah Matias Ourique Facecchia
Toronto, ON - Noah Matias Ourique Facecchia, a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend, passed away on September 3, 2023. Born on November 17, 2004, Noah brought immense joy and love into the lives of all who knew him.
Noah at a young age once announced to his parents that he mattered. His parents smiled and replied “more than you know.” Noah was a healthy, active and intelligent boy. He played soccer, enjoyed swimming and karate. He was his sister's best friend and guardian. He was kind hearted and loved to make you laugh. He was so energetic and full of life.
Shortly after Noah’s 6th birthday his family's life changed. Noah became very ill and it came without cause or warning. Noah was afflicted with Febrile Infection Related Epilepsy Syndrome, a very rare disease that affects 1/1000000 school age children.
Noah survived his illness for almost 13 years in a nonverbal bed ridden state. Noah was always surrounded during this time by family, friends and caregivers that truly loved and cared for him.
Noah’s fight to survive was truly an inspiration.
An evocative tone fills the air as we remember Noah's vibrant personality and the impact he had on those around him.
Noah was the cherished son of Antonio Facecchia and Sonia Ourique; they nurtured him with unwavering love and support throughout his life. H sisters who held a special place in his heart. As a grandson, Noah brought delight to his grandparents' lives with his playful spirit and endearing nature.
Noah's departure from this world leaves a void that cannot be filled. As we mourn the loss of such a vibrant soul, let us also celebrate the impact he had during his time with us. The memories we shared with Noah will forever be etched in our hearts.
During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Antonio Facecchia and Sonia Ourique, Noah's sisters, and the rest of the family. May they find strength and solace in the love and support surrounding them. They can take solace in knowing that Noah's spirit will be forever remembered through the countless lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. This organization was close to Noah's heart and epitomizes his unwavering compassion for those in need.
