Rachele Lapadula

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rachele Lapadula (nee Grieco) on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Lapadula. Cherished mother of Rocco, Nick (Terry), and Mary. Caring and proudest Nonna to David and Matthew. Rachele will forever live in the hearts of nieces, nephews and extended family both in Canada and Italy. Rachele will also be sadly missed by many family and friends in Córdoba, Argentina, where she lived for many years.

Rachele was born on March 6, 1933, in Ferrandina, Matera, Italy. Loving daughter of Nicola and Elisabetta Grieco. Dearest sister of Antonietta, the late Sante, and the late Leonarda.

For Rachele, family was everything. She welcomed everyone with warmth and kindness, always making those around her feel at home. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where the whole family would gather, and where everyone was welcomed with a warm meal, good conversation, and the comfort of being together. Countless memories were made around her table as family traditions were passed down, and love was expressed through every dish she prepared.
