Rania Kanbar, born on July 27, 1991, in Iraq, passed away suddenly from natural causes on November 14, 2025, in North York. She was a beacon of love, kindness, and joy. Adding her own uniqueness to making every moment a special and memorable one
Rania’s laughter and warmth filled the hearts of her family and friends. Her sister, Dina Kanbar, cherished their bond deeply, as Rania always lent an ear and a helping hand. One of Rania's proudest accomplishments was being an integral part of her niece's and nephew's lives. She took great joy in preparing breakfast for them, listening to their problems, and playing games. These moments were a testament to her caring nature and her commitment to nurturing her family with love.
A woman of many interests, Rania found solace in music, delighted in challenging herself with Sudoku puzzles, and loved to immerse herself in stories through Netflix. She had a fascination with the stars, often spending hours gazing at the night sky, captivated by the wonders of space.
As a person, Rania was kind, caring, and ever-humble, with a great sense of humor that brought smiles to many faces. Her personality glowed with a helpful demeanor, always ready to extend her kindness to those in need. Memories shared with Rania, particularly the family gatherings where they would work together on 2000-piece puzzles, will forever be etched in the hearts of her loved ones as moments filled with laughter and love.
Rania’s visitation will take place on November 24, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre in Toronto. As we gather to celebrate Rania’s life, may we remember the countless ways she touched our lives and the everlasting memories that will stay with us.
