Renato Torchia

Renato Torchia was born on July 27, 1944, in Calabria, Italy and passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, at the age of 81. He moved to Canada to build a beautiful life for his family - a dream he fulfilled with dedication and hard work.

He is predeceased by his wife and forever love, Filippina Torchia (November 8, 2016) his brothers Romano, Armando, Fausto, and his sister Silvia.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved children, Marianna, Mike (Laura) and Romano (Nina), as well as his cherished grandsons, Nathan, Nicholas, Jacob, and Andrew.

He is also survived by his brother by Vittorio (Adelina); brothers-in-law Sebastian (Mary) and Joe; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who held a special place in his heart.

A devoted family man, Renato lived life with passion, generosity, and joy. He was a pillar of strength and a source of comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether cheering from the stands at his grandsons’ baseball and hockey games or simply sharing laughter over a game of cards, he built lasting bonds and lifelong friendships wherever he went.

His love for his family was boundless and unconditional. He gave selflessly, always ready to lend a hand or offer support without hesitation.

Renato’s presence was a gift. His legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

You will be forever missed and loved.
