Ricky Jake Meffe

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ricky Jake Meffe on June 4, 2023, at the tender age of 28.  Ricky passed away peacefully after bravely fighting a rare form of cancer. He will be eternally missed by his parents, Cheryl and Ross Meffe, sister, Rebecca, along with the rest of his beloved family and many friends.

Ricky received an honours degree in Criminology from Ryerson University.  He found joy in the simple things in life, playing sports such as golf, hockey, and football, immersing himself in nature, or striving to expand his knowledge and horizons.  Ricky was passionately creative with a love for music and movies. He enjoyed reading and writing and found happiness in sharing his ambitions with those he loved.

Ricky will always be remembered as a thoughtful, sensitive, empathetic, and caring soul, who lived by the sayings Carpe Diem and Amor Fati.

We honour Ricky's memory by being grateful for each day we have to share our love, and to cherish our friends and family.

The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the exceptionally dedicated and compassionate caregivers at both Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Mount Sinai Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side); located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, first building on the left side. The family will receive guests on Thursday June 8 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday June 9, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Westminster Cemetery and Mausoleum (5830 Bathurst St.).
