Rina died peacefully in her 87th year in Toronto, Ontario, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Isola del Liri, Frosinone, Italy, to Pasqualino & Elena Villa, Rina beautifully blended her Italian roots with a fervent love for life in Canada.

Rina was an adoring and adored wife to Vincenzo (Jimmy) for nearly 65 years. A loving mother to Lino (Vanda), David (Eda), and Antonella (David). She was also the most proud Nonna to Laura (Jason), Stefano (Elizabeth), Michael, Francesca, and Marc. Rina is survived by her older brother Livio (Giulia), and her many cherished nieces and nephews. She is reunited with her dear siblings who pre-deceased her: Ugo (Rosa), Maria (Mario), Bianca (Francesco), Egidio (Elide), and Bruna (Silvio).

As a devoted mother and wife, Rina was dedicated to creating a home filled with warmth and laughter. Her passion for family was evident in the countless gatherings in her home, where loved ones would come together to forge lasting memories. She was an excellent cook, an enthusiastic host, a singer of songs and a teller of tales. Her love for adventure enriched her life and the lives of all who travelled with her. From spending winters on the beaches of Acapulco, Mexico, to crossing oceans to join family in Australia and Italy, Rina was always ready for a trip. On most Saturday nights, she would put on her dancing shoes and take her husband to their favourite dance hall: ballroom, bachata and salsa always on repeat.

The visitation for Rina will be held on March 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre, located at 5826 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON, M2R 1Y6. The funeral service will take place the following day, March 5, 2026, commencing at 10:00 AM.

As we remember Rina, let us celebrate her joyous spirit, unwavering love, and the incredible legacy she leaves behind for her family and friends. May her soul rest in peace, embraced by the love of those who departed before her, while her spirit continues to inspire those she touched during her life.
