Rita Macri

Rita Macri, a beloved mother, Nonna, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. Born on March 3, 1939, in Bari, Puglia, Italy, Rita lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Joseph.

Rita was a loving mother to Mark (Rosemary) and Dominic, and a proud Nonna to Joseph and Alex. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, including her dear siblings, Ambrose (Beth), Gino (Rosanna), and Phyllis (Joseph) and many nieces and nephews.

Rita found her greatest joy in time spent with family. She was a true people person who cherished being surrounded by loved ones. She enjoyed going to church, participating in the choir and sharing meaningful moments with family and friends. Rita also enjoyed going for daily walks. Beautiful inside and out, she brought warmth, kindness, and laughter to all who knew her.

She enjoyed baking and especially loved making focaccia, which she generously shared with family and friends.

Rita’s gentle spirit and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and love.

In remembering Rita Macri, we celebrate a life well lived, filled with love, family, and togetherness. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
