Robert Kenton Wallis

April 20, 1963 — March 27, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert on March 27, 2025, at the age of 61. He was a cherished son to Russell and Wilhelmina, and a big brother to Christina (Mario). A devoted husband to Marisa for 31 years, and a wonderful father to Matthew. A supportive brother-in-law to Cathy (Bruno), Bianca (Nick), and Gina (John). Robert loved being an uncle to Alexandra, Geoffrey, Christina (Walter), Eleni, Athan (Isabela), and Jonathan. He loved being a great-uncle to Walter and Brianna.

Robert was a man of many talents and interests. He was passionate about the work that he did, and there are very few people who find that balance in the work that they do. After starting his own business, he often said that he never felt like he worked a day in his life because of the satisfaction he got from the finished product; but more so from his customers’ reactions. He was adventurous in his travels, enjoyed exploring new cultures, meeting new people and trying a variety of foods. He loved a good meal, a cold beer, and followed by a good nap. Robert enjoyed making people laugh, being the “life of the party”, and making others around him feel included. He loved fishing, camping, playing hockey and most of all spending time with family and friends. Simply put, he was a “jack of all trades.”

We extend our deepest gratitude to the exceptional Oncology staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Dr. Gilchrist and the staff at Dorothy Ley Hospice who supported us throughout our difficult journey. Special thanks to the Care Partners who supported our family during our most difficult days. To our circle of family and friends, whose support and friendship helped to keep our spirits up, and who prayed for our family. We cannot thank you enough for the support you provided us.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4th from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., followed by the funeral on Saturday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Cemetery, Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave. W.).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to Dorothy Ley Hospice (Dorothy Ley Hospice), St. Joseph’s Health Centre (Oncology Clinic) (Support St Joe's - St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation) and Pancreatic Cancer Canada (HOME - Pancreatic Cancer Canada).
