Roddie McNeil

Roddie Douglas McNeil, 68 passed away on Friday April 11th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 3rd, 1956, in Glasgow, Scotland Roddie was a loving father to his children.

Roddie moved to Canada as a baby and grew up in North York, Ontario on Drewry Ave. He attended Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario then pursued many different career paths till finding his final destination at Toronto Hydro, where he worked for 28 years. After retiring he pursued being a “designated” beach bum in Barbados, while becoming a cartoonist. He made forever friends and memories wherever he went.

Roddie is survived by his former spouse, Janet McNeil; his children, Trevor (Anna) McNeil, Kyle (Beth) McNeil, Holly (Michael) Scott, and Skye (Benjamin) McNeil. His grandchildren: Hunter McNeil, Madison Scott, Brooklyn Scott, Emma McNeil, Leo McNeil, Samantha Scott, and Benjamin McNeil, along with many other cherished family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ian and Nancy McNeil and his older brother Fergus McNeil.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 24th at 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Westminster Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ALS foundation in Roddie McNeils memory.
