Rolando De Nichilo

Rolando De Nichilo passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of memories rooted in family, tradition, and quiet devotion. He was 90 years old.

A devoted husband to his beloved Concettina, Rolando was a proud father to the late Angelo, Lorenzo (Franca), and the late Ernesto (Sylvia). Family was always at the center of his life, and he took great pride in being a grandfather to Rolando, Amanda (Brendan), Angelo, Angelo, and Sarah, and a great-grandfather to Leo and Rome, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Rolando lived a life grounded in tradition and simple pleasures. He loved fishing and spending peaceful days tending his vegetable garden. He was especially proud of making homemade wine and salami, skills passed down through generations and shared with family and friends. Summers at the family trailer in Wasaga Beach were among his most treasured times — moments filled with laughter, meals shared together, and memories that will live on.

Rolando will be remembered as a hardworking, steady presence — someone who showed his love through action, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family. His legacy lives on in the traditions he preserved, the values he passed down, and the many lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive on Monday January 5, 2026 from 11:30am until the commencement of the service at 1:15pm. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
