Rosa Iannello, a tapestry of love, elegance, and familial warmth, graced our lives from July 1, 1928, until her gentle departure on October 24, 2025. A revered matriarch whose heart and laughter resonated within the walls of her home, Rosa embodied the very essence of family, spinning threads of connection through the art of knitting, the delight of cooking, and the joy of travel—particularly to the picturesque landscapes of Italy and France.
Her hands, skillful and nurturing, would create beautiful pieces that not only provided warmth but also told stories—stories of care and dedication, marinated in tradition and love. Her culinary creations were legendary, filling her kitchen with fragrant aromas that lingered in the hearts of her children and grandchildren, drawing them together for shared meals that celebrated both her Italian roots and the sophisticated flair of French cuisine.
Rosa was not only a masterful cook and artisan but also a connoisseur of style. Always dressing in elegant Italian and French fashions, she carried with her an air of grace and sophistication, making a statement wherever she went. Each outfit was a reflection of her vibrant spirit and her deep appreciation for beauty, inspiring those around her to carry a touch of elegance in their own lives.
Deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, Rosa found great comfort and purpose in her church community. For many years, she led prayer groups with devotion and compassion, offering guidance, encouragement, and love to all who joined her in prayer. Her steadfast faith was a cornerstone of her life—shaping her kindness, her generosity, and the strength with which she faced each day. Through her spiritual leadership and quiet acts of service, Rosa touched countless hearts and left a lasting mark on her parish family.
As a family person, Rosa's legacy shines bright through her devoted husband, the late Vincenzo, and their cherished children: Francesco (Rosa), Anna (Salvatore), Vincenza (Vincenzo), Giuseppe (Sara), and Angelo (Vincenza). Each of her children carries a piece of her heart, lovingly threaded into their lives, ensuring that her spirit will forever be part of their journeys.
The legacy of Rosa extends further with the laughter of her grandchildren—Lisa (Tommaso), Silvia (Giuseppe), Antonio (Julia), Rosemarie, Laura, Vincenzo (Angelisa), Francesco (Lindsay), Francesca (Ross), Christina (Mike), Valeria (Chad), and Gabriella—and the joy brought by her beloved great-grandchildren: Liliana, Cecilia, Grayson, Nola, Luna, Theodore, Isabella, Simona, Samuel, Rocco, Loredana, Joey, Matteo, Emilia, Adalynn Marie, Jolene Joyce, and Camilla Rose, who will continue to embody her warmth and love.
As we gather to remember Rosa, let us reflect on the richness she brought to our lives, filling our souls with the warmth and vibrancy of her spirit—a radiant thread in the fabric of our family that will never truly fade away. Her love remains an enduring influence, reminding us all to cherish each moment, embrace elegance, and surround ourselves with family and faith, as she would have loved.
