Rosa Romano, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on September 24, 1942, Rosa embraced life with warmth and joy, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
Rosa was the devoted wife of the late Luigi Romano for 59 beautiful years. Proud mother of three children, John (Tracey), Peter (Sandra), and the late Anna Maria. The bond she shared with her children was unwavering, as she was always their biggest supporter and confidante. Rosa's nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Nicholas (Patrica) and Brooke, to whom she imparted countless lessons and loving memories that they will carry with them forever. Cherished sister to Stella (the late Santo), late Pina (late Domenico), Vito (Janette), Joe, Domenic, and Peter. Beloved Sister-in-Law to Vittorio (Teresa), Late Santo, (Irma), Late Pasquale (Lucia), Late Michelina (Francesco), Late Carmelina (Tonino). She is also reunited with her parents Pietro and Giuseppa.
As a skilled seamstress, Rosa transformed threads into delicate works of art, stitching together not just fabric but also the love she had for those around her. Her culinary prowess was legendary; many gathered at her table, where the warmth of her cooking wrapped around them like a loving embrace. Her garden flourished under her tender care—vegetables and flowers burgeoned with life, much like the affection that bloomed within her heart. And oh, how she adored baking, filling homes and hearts with the sweet aroma of her creations.
Rosa Romano may no longer walk among us, but the love and kindness she gifted the world will forever remain. Her legacy of love, family, and friendship will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. We will carry her spirit in our hearts, remembering her not only with tears but with smiles, and we will strive to honor her memory in our daily lives, just as she taught us to do.
If so desired donations can be made in Rosa's memory to the Alzheimer's Society.
