Rosa Stea

Rosa Stea, a loving wife to Francesco, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 94. Born on October 3, 1930, in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy, Rosa brought warmth and joy to the lives of those around her, forever cherished as a dedicated homemaker.

Rosa's love for her family was boundless, and she devoted her life to nurturing and supporting her loved ones. She is survived by her children Lou (Pina), Grace (John), Vito (Jelly), and Angela (Fadi), who will always carry the memories of her love and guidance. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Christopher (Kelli), Paul, Rosemarie (Jeanine), Matthew (Megan), Frankie (Ashley), Michael, Danielle and Sofia, who were fortunate to receive her affection and wisdom. Rosa is also survived by her great-grandchildren Marius, Isabella, Elyse, Galen, and Mia, who will forever hold the imprint of her gentle spirit.

Rosa had a passion for baking, delighting in the creation of Italian Peach Cookies and Amaretti that filled her home with fragrant memories. Her skills extended beyond the kitchen, as she found joy in gardening flowers that blossomed beautifully, reflecting her nurturing nature. In her later years, she took up painting and found solace in the simplicity of paint by numbers, a pastime that allowed her creativity to flourish.

Rosa Stea will forever be remembered not just for her nurturing spirit and dedication to her family, but also for her ability to infuse moments with warmth and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Tuesday September 9, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Wednesday September 10, 2025 at 11:30 am. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
